hot water.
- Selective coating on the collector allows the panel to
absorb energy from the sun even on cloudy days
- Panels are equipped with quick fitting connections which
save time and money
- A simple controller allows quick setting of functions
and features a graphical display to provide more information
- Strong solar glass cover protects the collector from damage
- Flat, one piece design makes panel more robust than other
solar panel types
Solar
Panel Heating
The Worcester Greenskies FK240 Solar Panel has been designed
to complement existing heating systems that use and store
hot water. A typical well sized solar system should provide
around 55% of domestic hot water requirements in an average
sized home. The remaining hot water is provided by the boiler.
YOU COULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR A GOVERNMENT
FUNDED GRANT: See the details below and links through
to the LCBP (Low Carbon Buildings Programme) website:
In
November 2005, the Energy Minister, Malcolm Wicks announced
a new £30 million budget over 3 years for the Low Carbon Buildings
programme. Launched on 1 April 2006, Phase 1 of the DTI’s
Low Carbon Buildings programme will run over three years and
replaces the previous DTI Clear Skies and Solar PV grant programmes.
Open to householders, public, not for profit and commercial
organisations across the UK (except the Channel Islands and
the Isle of Man), the programme will demonstrate how energy
efficiency and microgeneration can work hand in hand to create
low carbon buildings. Of the £30 million budget, £1.5 million
was carried forward to ease the transition between the PV
and Clear Skies programmes.
